Jason: The Tales of an Assassin

    

 Chapter 1

      Jason had just woke up and headed downstairs for his morning tea. He was well rested, and was ready for the day.  As he was making his second pot of tea,  Jason heard the all so familiar sound of a crossbow bolt whizzing toward his head,  ducking just in time for it to miss.  Grabbing his bow from under the table, he aimed with deadly precision hitting the shooter square in the chest. After the man had bled out, he ran upstairs and flung open his weapons chest and grabbed only the things he needed: his best sword and dagger, bow and arrows, his trusty crossbow and other supplies. He grabbed his cloak from the wall and headed to the stable to fetch his battle-hardened horse. Hurriedly, he saddled the great beast, throwing the bag of weapons and food over the horse's back. As mounting, he threw one torch into the stable and  the second one into the house. While the house burned, the great assassin, Jason, rode off into the heart of the woods.
